The Telesterion
at Eleusis

For more than 2,000 years, the Telesterion was a great hall near ancient Athens where something remarkable happened. People of every walk of life — young and old, enslaved people and Roman emperors alike — would enter, and leave changed. They carried new knowledge and a fearlessness back to every corner of the world they returned to.

That journey was an inflection point. Those who made it were never quite the same again. That is what good strategy does, too — it takes an organization from where it is to somewhere it couldn't have reached on its own.

Telesterion Advisory exists to create those moments for organizations of every kind: startups building from scratch, and established organizations ready for a turnaround. As a business generalist, Joe works across industries and challenges, with particular depth in strategy, communications, and partnerships — the three levers that most reliably free owners and directors to do what they do best.

"Strategy isn't a luxury for large organizations. It's the difference between drifting and moving with intention — and every organization deserves that."

— Joe, Founder, Telesterion Advisory

Joe Bazeghi
Founder & Principal Consultant

Joe founded Telesterion Advisory to bring the same rigor and honesty large organizations expect from their advisors to businesses of every size. From 2016 to 2022, he worked independently as a consultant across a dozen clients spanning more than ten industries — from jewelry and retail to arts, performance, and nonprofit organizations — building the generalist range that now anchors the practice.

Healthcare has been a particular throughline of that work: Joe has advised a number of for-profit behavioral health practices, from individual sole practitioners to larger organizations, giving him practical fluency in the operational realities specific to healthcare businesses.

Today, Joe works directly with every client — no hand-offs, no account managers. Just one advisor who's spent the better part of a decade learning what actually moves organizations forward. While he hasn't worked on staff at a nonprofit, years of board service and hands-on grant writing — including proposals that have secured more than $10 million in funding for community organizations, both nonprofit and for-profit — have built particular competency in nonprofit strategy, communications, and operations.
